The cold weather is here and the festivity is approaching more and more. Christmas is coming! It’s time to warm up and get in the jolly spirit, so we are sharing 3 of our favourite festive drinks with you!

 

In this post, you will learn how to make:

  • A Peppermint Hot Chocolate
  • A Gingerbread Cappuccino
  • A Mulled Spiced Tea

Peppermint Hot Chocolate

Refreshing yet also indulgent, this is the perfect drink to make you feel awake but cosy during those winter mornings.

Step 1

Pour one shot of the DaVinci Peppermint Syrup into your cup.

For the perfect dispensing of our syrups, use our pumps so you get equal amounts each time! If using a pump use 1-2 pumps depending on the intensity of the flavour you would like.

 

Step 2

Scoop two heaped tablespoons of the Chocolate Abyss 40% Cocoa into your cup, add a little bit of your milk and stir into a loose paste. Alternatively, add a small amount of hot water to melt the chocolate powder to a slightly looser paste than with cold milk.

 

Step 3

Prepare your milk. Heat your milk in your preferred style; we chose to steam it in our Stainless Steel Milk Jug to make it more of a latte style milk.

Alternatively, you can heat the milk in the microwave in a microwave-safe jug or cup, or heat it in a saucer, then froth your heated milk with the Aerolatte Milk Foamer.

 

Step 4

Pour a little bit of the heated milk into the cup and stir it with a spoon or wooden stirrer, this is to ensure no lumps will be in your delicious drink. Add the rest of your milk and give it a final stir if necessary.

 

Step 5

This step is optional, but too great to skip! Swirl on some whipped cream, be as generous as you’d like. For ultimate freshness with your whipped cream, make it yourself and use our cream whippers.

Then sprinkle on top the Chocolate Abyss Fairtrade Dust to finish of this fantastic festive drink.

 

 

Gingerbread Cappuccino

Get your pick-me-up whilst feeling festive, get sweetness with a pinch, as well as your coffee fix.

Step 1

Pour one shot of the DaVinci Gingerbread Syrup into your cup.

For the perfect dispensing of our syrups, use our pumps so you get equal amounts each time! If using a pump use 1-2 pumps depending on the intensity of the flavour you would like.

 

Step 2

Prepare your espresso, we extracted our directly into the cup.

Our preference is to extract the espresso fresh from the bean, so the natural oils and aromas are released within our beverage. (Check out Sage Machines if you are interested in getting a perfectly elegant espresso every time at home!)

 

Step 3

Prepare your cappuccino milk. Using the Stainless Steel Milk Foaming Jug, we steamed our milk to create the perfect foamy texture for our cappuccino.

Alternatively, you can heat the milk in the microwave in a microwave-safe jug or cup, or heat it in a saucer, then froth your heated milk with the Aerolatte Milk Foamer to get the airy milk texture you need for a cappuccino.

After steaming your milk, don’t forget to remove any air bubbles in the milk. Tap it on your kitchen surface and gently swirl the jug to leave a slight smooth gloss to the milk.

 

Step 4

Pour the steamed cappuccino milk into your prepared cup, pouring from the side of the jug helps to evenly distribute the milk and the foam to create the perfect balancing cappuccino. If you’re a fan of a bit of decoration on your cappuccino, this is the perfect time to dust a sprinkle of chocolate dust on top! 

 

 

Mulled Spiced Tea

The easiest drink of the three, but equally as delicious, perfect for those lovers of mulled and citrus, but still in need to perk up for their day. It's like mulled wine for the day!

 

Ingredients:

Step 1

Place your Suki Tea – Red Berry tea bag into your cup and let it sit there for 2-3 minutes to brew.

 

Step 2

Pour one shot of the DaVinci Mulled Syrup into your cup.

For the perfect dispensing of our syrups, use our pumps so you get equal amounts each time! If using a pump use 1-2 pumps depending on the intensity of the flavour you would like.

 

Step 3

Remove your tea bag or feel free to leave it in for a more intense flavour, give your drink a good stir.

 

Step 4

Add a couple orange slices to add that citrusy tang to complete your tasteful tea.
