It’s fair to say that a lot of us are doing more cooking and baking during this period of social distancing. We’ve got this time to bake with the kids, to create when we’re tired of watching Netflix, and to cheer ourselves up with delicious treats.

Why not try something a little different this Easter? Here are some products you may not have thought of using in your recipes. Give them a try and mix up your cooking and baking!

Brave Peas

Usually these tasty peas are eaten on their own as a snack but try adding them to salads for an extra crunch, or to your soups in place of croutons. The Paprika and Chilli flavour is our go-to for adding crunch to savoury salads and soups!

You could also use the Chocolate and Salted Caramel flavour sprinkled on top of cupcakes or ice cream!

Lotus Biscoff

Everyone loves a Lotus Biscoff biscuit. Try crumbling them and mixing with melted butter for an alternative cheesecake base or brushing them with coffee and using in place of lady fingers biscuits in a tiramisu!

There are hundreds of Lotus biscuit recipes – check some out here: https://www.lotusbiscoff.com/en-gb/recipes

Cambrook Sweet Chilli Peanuts and Cashews

These nuts are packed with flavour, and you don’t need to confine them to a bowl. These nuts are great chopped and sprinkled on to of stir-fries or Thai curries, for an added crunch and punch of flavour.

Willie’s Cacao

For a top-notch addition to your baking, try Willie’s Cacao bars. Simply chopped, these would make decadent chocolate chips for cookies, flapjacks or brownies. The Luscious Orange flavour is also vegan, so use this for vegan choc-orange cookies!

Mini Marshmallows

These are usually for decorating drinks, but they would be perfect to add to your homemade Rocky Road. They could also be added to ice cream or to decorate cupcakes.

Why stop there, if you are decorating cakes, you might also be interested in the Salted Caramel Fudge Pieces, Strawberry Crispearls or Triple Choc Crispies!

If you try out any of these ideas, don’t forget to show us your creations on social media!
